How to Draw Female Beauty and the Breast

Math & Geometry play an important role in the drawing of a nude.
Use the height of the head as base for the math in human proportions.
All numbers relate to the measurement of each individual's head.
Always first draw your "vertical" line of action.
Establish the head size, then figure out the math of the proportions in relationship to that head.
Then build the model's unique forms upon that foundation. Some features will be a little bigger, a little smaller; a little longer, a little shorter, etc.
The width across the center of a head is five eyes.
The incept of the nose is approx. 1/3 down from the center of head.
The center of lips is 2/3 down from the center of head.
1. Anatomy from the Waist Up
  a. Draw a vertical "line of action" 8 inches in height
  b. Mark off from top down "crossing lines" every two inches at  2", 4", 6" and 8".
  c. Thus, your vertical line is now divided into
four equal sections.
These very, very basic divisions are truly important as beginners seem to always mess up on human proportions.
2.  a. In the top section draw an oval for the head. It's chin rests on the 2 inch line.
  b. The nipples are structured on the 4 inch line.
  c. The navel is centered upon the 6 inch line.
  d. The pubic bone ends on the 8 inch line.
I promise this; in your freehand drawing if  you place
the body's features within these measurements you will
not produce a distorted figure.
  a. All proportions of a human body are in
relationship to the individuals head.
  b. The width of a female's shoulders is "two faces",
side by side off the vertical center.
(A man's is much broader)
4.  a. Divide the "second head" down into thirds.
  b. 1st / third pit of neck.
  c. 2nd / third beginning of breast.
  d. 3rd / third nipples on line.
Fullness of breast is relative to the individual female
that you are drawing.

Things You Will Need: Beginners, try using graph paper to measure proportions for accuracy.

Pencil
